Between our dreams and nightmares runs the rope upon which we live our lives.

So what happens when we wake up from these series of dreams and nightmares only to realize that the rope is no longer there?
I was thinking of the idea that compared to the fantastic lives we live in our dreams and nightmares, real life seems so much like a tight rope – we live so little of it. We need our dreams just so that we know we are alive – to know that there is much more than what we see and experience in our daily lives.
Strange that you posted a comment on this post yesterday. Just last night I was watching an amazing documentary called Man on Wire about a man who walked on a wire between the roofs of the WTC buildings (without any safety net beneath). A mistake would have meant certain death for him!
