Some sketches of fiction writing I've attempted by myself, or in collaboration with friends.
Peeyush came up with the idea of collaborating on a work of
fiction, which I accepted
the idea immediately. He started the story, and
we've alternately been taking turns extending it,
trying to maintain
some continuity between chapters. But each of us are using our own
style and
ideas in terms of the direction we've decide to take for
each chapter. This is an ongoing work,
so keep checking back for new updates.
Some of these may be original, others may not. Whereever I know the source of the original, I've mentioned it. In case of the others I don't know. But please let me know if you've heard any of these tunes before.
A small composition on guitar and clarinet (using a synth).
The tune might be from the movie The Peacemaker. Not sure though. But it reminds me of that movie; hence the name.
Another tune I must have heard somewhere. The second half sounds like a darker variation of the Happy Birthday tune!
Let me know if you've heard this tune before.
For a movie that probably will never get made. A section in the middle (0:39"" to 1:05") sounds like a slowed down version of the starting riff of a song by Split called Belief, which you can listen to on their MySpace page. I'd heard the Belief before I'd composed this, but I didn't rip it off intentionally. But yes, it's possible that I wouldn't have come up with that part if I hadn't heard Belief before. The other parts are inspired by the music of Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Yet another symphonic arrangement.
